Internet="Interesting"

I'm in a Doctrine and Covenants class that requires us to write in our journals each day. I was doing a little catching up today when I thought about this blog as a journal--you know, an online one. I noticed something between this journal and my daily one that is totally different. This journal is only updated when something interesting happens.

I think that the fact that other people are going to read this makes me want to only put experiences on here that other people will find interesting. I guess technically, someone will probably read my other journal sometime, but it's just less likely, and I don't feel compelled to make it interesting at all...though sometimes it just turns out interesting anyway.

In reality, I'm probably kind of boring--and really terribly average...Maybe this blog reflects that afterall... :)

Pizza...or Something

Beware of the "...or something"

My SC ED 276 class ended today...after 4 hours every morning, from 8-12 for the past two months, I'm finally done. The class was actually a good one, and I really enjoyed it, but 4 hours every day sort of starts to suck your life away, you know?

Anyway. For about the last two months, my teacher has been saying, "Well, on that last day of class, we'll have to have pizza or something." The entire class was under the impression that today, we were having a pizza party or something.

Well, it turns out, we did have a little bit of a party--some girl in the class brought in some pumpkin cookies, and we talked about good teachers, we got a poem or two, it was tender.

Suddenly, the Professor says, "Well, the university says I have to give you one of these." Then, he hands each of us a 5 page essay final.

What? This was not a golden crust topped with saucy, cheesy, pepperoni-y goodness! This wasn't even edible! The class looked around as if it were a joke, and then the Professor walked out the door, told us to leave the tests on the table, and told us that he cared about us.

"Or Something" apparently = unnannounced final. Watch for it.

New Identity

My new social security card finally came in the mail, and so did my new name. The old me, according to all important records, no longer exists.

Also, this means ID card #8...bring it on. :)

I'm getting Married in less than 100 hours...

Beat that 100 Hour Board. ;)

In other news, school has started again...and that's lame. I really wish I could take an entire semester off without penalty. I'd be really great to just have the winter all to working, and none to school. I don't even hate my classes--I just don't feel like being in school right now. I sure don't feel like I should be blamed.

In other other news, I was reading the toothpaste tube the other day and it says, "For best results, squeeze tube from the bottom and flatten as you go up." This direction is wrong. The toothpaste works the same whether you squeeze it from the middle, or flatten it as you go up. It's nicer to flatten as you go up, it looks prettier, and you get to use more of the toothpaste that way before buying it, but I would really like to see the study which as proven that squeezing the toothpaste from the bottom of the tube makes your toothpaste work better.

Countdown

...in case you were wondering.

I'm Dreaming of a Caucasian Holiday

Well, it's finally here--it's the end of the semester, the snow has fallen, wedding plans are falling into place, and I'm officially done with all the junk I needed to finish for school. Now, there's just packing, cleaning, and reception planning, and I'm done. Well...not really done, but at least done with wedding stuff. Being done with wedding stuff means being married, and that's the sweetest deal ever. 7 days until Christmas, 24 Days until we get married...life is really awesome right now.

Speaking of awesome things in life--I got $159 in books back today from the BYU bookstore...and it was amazing. I sold back my liberal arts books...and got real money for them. Usually I end up going to sell my books back and they're like, "we're not buying this one, this one is worth $.52..." Today, there were dollars involved...and lots of them! It was amazingly exciting.

Also, I only had one test to take, and I got a 96% on that, before the curve...this should be even sweeter.

Also, I'm done with the semester, and I'm hugely relieved. This is the last night I work in the office, which means that, apart from cleaning checks and a final run-through Thursday morning, I'm done being an RA. I really feel like I'm moving on. I'm not quite sure what I'm moving on into yet, but I can't help but feel incredibly and amazingly excited about it all--especially with Best Friend along for the journey.

Oh, I also quit the Board. I'm sure that hardly anyone reads this who read that anymore anyway, but I no longer write. I'm so excited about moving on in general that I can't really feel bad about it yet. I didn't really do much anyway, it was time. Granted, the people will be missed...but I can see them.

All in all, life is just great, and I love it. Merry Christmas to all of you, and a very happy 2 007...a good year is blowin' on the wind.
