Alarm Clock Stuff 2...This Time it's Not Alarm Clock Stuff 1

I just thought I'd let you all know that I figured out one way that I DEFINITELY don't want to wake up.

My neighbor's alarm clock is one that works through her stereo, and it gets progressively louder if it's not turned off. this means that if no one turns it off, pretty soon it's blasting loud enough for everyone with eardrums and a proximity nearer than China to hear.

It went off this morning around 6:00...

I think I'll stick with "Return to Me" on Saturday mornings...and maybe try out a little "Zombie Jamboree" the rest of the week...I'm still open to suggestions.

Mine's the same way, except that for me it tends to be "beep" slam. If I'm awake it takes three beeps. I never understand why I'm faster when I'm asleep. I almost always get up though, I've never had the problem of falling back asleep except when I hit the end of the semester.

I do know a song I would never ever want to wake up to. "Sesame Street" Bad, bad memories.

I hate getting up early. I really do. I mean, unless I get like 9 hours of sleep, I really don't want to get up.

But anyway...song wise. Thunderstruck by AC/DC. I don't listen to a lot of their music but that is great "wake up and drag your lazy self out of bed" song.

I have one of those clocks, but is about 6 years old and the cd player isn't balanced anymore. It scratches every CD that is put in it. Now it's just the buzzing. Lousy buzzing.

Ha. I need that blasted buzzing to work. Even with it, I can fall asleep several more times, but music will not wake me. Not if it's mine, that is. My roommate has the CD alarm, and sometimes I wake up when it warms up in preparation for the soothing music it's about to play. But the BRAAANP BRAAANP BRAAANP! gets me up eventually, and regularly, so that's what I do.

If I play music, it would fit in the scene in my dream. Not good. I'd wake up much later.

It's conversations like this that make me extremely grateful that my body clock has been good to me. I don't wake up with an alarm. Ever. I have not heard my alarm go off for at least a year (and when it does, it's classical music on KBYU). Even when I have to wake up insanely early, I just tell myself before I go to sleep, "Leibniz, you have to be awake insanely early tomorrow" and then I set my alarm (just in case) and 95% of the time I will open my eyes 1-3 minutes before the alarm sounds. So I just flip the switch and never hear the music. It's great.

So I don't have much in the way of advice for you. Sorry!

If I ever hear Zombie Jamboree ever again, it will be too soon. Every time you insisted on waking up to it, it was stuck in my head for at least a week afterward. Same with Send Me to Glory in a Glad Bag *shudder*
It's all fun and games until someone loses their sanity.
